Below, I'm going to again tell you how to download your digital rewards, in case you missed it in the last email.
STEP 1: Log into your email and find your survey confirmation. If you type in survey confirmation Backerkit Russell or survey confirmation Cthulhu, you should be able to find it.
STEP 2: Scroll down.
STEP 3: At the bottom, there is a unique link to get back to your survey. Click it.
STEP 4: That link will take you to your survey. Once you finish your survey you will be taken to your survey confirmation page.
If you have ALREADY filled out the survey, then you can use the same link to get to your digital rewards.

Once you get to that page, then click the link for digital rewards.
STEP 5: BOOM! There they are.
If you have digital rewards only, then this is will fulfill your rewards. If you have physical rewards that don't include Ichabod volume 3, I will try to get those rewards out to you once the pins arrive. And if you have volume 3 in your pledges, you will get your books fulfilled when the books arrive in port.

I received the proof today and did an unboxing video! If you want to check it out you can click the link below, but please know I check every page and it WILL contain spoilers if you look at the pages as they flip by, so if you want to be surprised, maybe best to skip this one...but it look sooo pretty.

Next, I should receive the mass production samples in about a month if all goes well, and once I approve those I pay the final invoice and they get shipped to me. It usually takes about a month for them to get across the ocean, so I expect to receive them sometime in the beginning of July, assume there are no customs issues, and I have been hearing there are some pretty bad customs issues right now.
Now that I've approved the proof, I will be sending out surveys in the next few days.
When I sent them out the email will not come from me, or from Kickstarter, but from Backerkit. The subject should be something like:

If you got digital-only rewards, then ALL of your rewards have already been fulfilled once your fill out your survey.

Hi,
Now that it's been a week and I've finalized the thank you page, I sent all the files to the printer this morning. Additionally, I approved the proof for the pin.
I should have the pin in hand in 1-2 months.
From here, assuming there are no issues with the files, I should receive a proof of the book in 2 weeks, which I will check and approve before final printing begins.
Once I receive the proof I will do an unboxing video and send it to you when it's uploaded in another update. That should be the next time you hear from me.

We funded!!!! Our final total was $22,347, almost $2,000 ABOVE the last campaign. Wow!
Now, the hard part, for me, and the fun part, for you :)
Seriously, I can thank you enough for believing in this project. Ichabod is such a weird passion project and we've only been able to keep it going for 10 years because of your support.
So, what's next?
1. Those people whose pledges failed have 7 days to fix their pledges. During that time, anyone who pledged at $50+ has that time to get me their name for the thank you page.
2. Once that is done, I send the finished and compiled book to the printer, who I have already paid a deposit, and they get to work on the proof.
3. It takes me a day or so to (hopefully) approve the proof, and after that the printer gets to work on the mass-produced paperback. This is always my most feared stage because if I messed up anything, it will come through here.
4. In 1-2 months after the proof is approved, the books are finished and packaged. I pay the final half of the invoice, and they get scheduled for shipment./
5. The books go through Chinese customs (which could delay things for 1-2 months if they get caught up), and then set said across the sea for about 2-4 weeks.
6. Once they arrive in America, they go through US customs (which could add another 2-4 weeks if they get caught here).
7. In all, assuming everything goes well, it should take about 3 months from the end of the campaign until the books are delivered to my door.
8. Once they are at my door, it takes me roughly a week to turn them all around and get them out the door.
I expect this whole process to take until the beginning of July. Last year our March campaign ended on March 26th, proofs arrived on April 16th, final books arrived on June 29th, and books were shipped by July 4th.
Since this was during the height of the pandemic, and almost an identical campaign end date, it makes sense to tack your expectations to there...assuming nothing goes wrong. If we have to send back a proof, or things get delayed somewhere, it could add 2-3 months to the timeframe.
I will keep you updated every step of the way. Whenever I know something, so will you.
For now, I'm going to get to work on making this the best book I can :)

A few months ago my friend Anthony Christou asked me if I wanted to write a story for his Tavern of Dreams anthology. My job was to come up with an original monster and write a story about it.
Thus, the Clombarge was created, drawing inspiration from Mimikyu, but with a much deadlier past. You'll be able to read the story by picking up the book, and there's even a tier where you can pick up the original of the painting, which I absolutely adore.
It's a very short story set in his Tavern of Dreams world, and there will also be stories by Stephen Kok, Clay Adams, Rob Multari, Frank Martin, Joseph Duis, and more!
Tavern of Dreams is a beautifully illustrated hardcover novel that is often described as "Night at the Museum" meets "Lord of the Rings". This novel takes you on a journey as you delve deep into the mysteries that haunt the quaint and friendly Grumpy Lion Tavern.
I also wrote an anthology piece for another one of his Luminous Ages books coming out later this year. I really love this world, and hope you do too!
